Update from our progress

We had an intense few weeks at MOCT meeting our stakeholders, visitors and discussing potential new partnerships.

We have just completed a very successful visit from our partners from Switzerland. Since December 2023, they have funded our agroforestry and health (SRHR) work, and they were very impressed with what we have achieved on the ground. They saw our fodder production, tree nurseries, agroforestry systems, and our new cattle and goat pens. Because the project is doing so well, our funders want us to expand significantly. You can read more about our project plan HERE.

Previous cuttings started to germinate
Nursery plants ready for budding and grafting. These are rootstock (lemon trees), we are going to do budding with oranges, natjies and lime.

Meeting with the Village Headman and having lunch together at the Centre:

We also distributed food humpers, blankets and wheelchairs to the needy in ward 27.

During this time, we were also visited by Mr. Julious Piti, the Director of PORET (Participatory Organic Research Extension and Training)  fom Chimanimani. We held discussions about possible ways to work together. We believe we can collaborate on something great in the near future. As they say, only time will tell!
