UPDATES August 21

Thank you all for patiently waiting for our latest updates.

The thatching of the guardroom has been delayed due the national restrictions effecting the arrival of our thatcher.
But he finally managed to work with our people again. As shown on the photos below, it all looks great and the brick moulding has also started for further huts.

On the downside, we recently faced difficulties with birds. They started eating our cabbages and we now fear that they will destroy the rest of the cabbages before they are ready for harvest. We are therefore in consultation with the local community in the hope to find a solution before we loose everything.

We would highly appreciate if you have any recommendations to share with us, as this would also benefit others in similar situation.
Netting is too expensive, so at the moment we are looking at hanging CDs and reflective ribbons on ropes and poles and plastic bottles that rattle in the wind to scare off the birds.
Thanks for your support!
